The Horizon T101 
Treadmill is one of the newer treadmills by Horizon. This one is aimed more towards the walkers and light joggers since it’s an entry level treadmill. It offers an excellent value for money and I would go as far as saying that is it one of the best entry level treadmills Horizon has ever launched in the market.
I wouldn’t really recommend this treadmill for serious runners since it’s an entry level treadmill. But if you are looking for a treadmill for walking and jogging at home then this is definitely a great choice.

This Horizon treadmill comes with some great features. Let’s look at each of them in detail:

- Large 20” x 55” Belt: The Horizon T101 treadmill comes with large belt which provides enough room to move. This treadmill has one of the largest belts among the entry level treadmills.
- User Friendly with a bright console: The T101 is fairly easy to setup and start using. Although it comes with a manual, you don’t really need to go through it in order to start using the treadmill. It comes with a one-touch speed and incline button which helps you adjust the speed and incline. Everything else is also very self explanatory.
- Mp3 Player Docking System with Surround Sound Speakers: Working out is no fun without listening to your favorite music right? Well this one comes with an iPod docking system with surround sound speakers which are inbuilt in the console.
- 9 Workout Programs: There are 9 program options which allow you to choose from 3 targets in combination with 3 workouts to create a variety in your routine. I feel having these types of programs is very necessary otherwise you won’t be motivated enough to workout everyday. This only helps reach your fitness goals faster.
- Heart Rate Monitoring: The T101 treadmill does provide you the heart rate reading but the only problem is you can’t really use it during your workout since you can’t specify your age or your target heart rate zone. That info does help with a weight loss workout.
- Cooling Fan: This always comes in handy as it keeps you cool. I didn’t really expect this feature considering the T101’s price. It comes with 3 settings.
- Folding Treadmill: This treadmill folds for easy storage. It’s a great feature for saving space when the treadmill is not in use. The process is pretty much like T102, T103 and all the other Horizon Treadmills that use this feature.
- 2.25 HP continuous duty motor which can reach to speeds upto 10 miles per hour. This motor is sufficient for walking and light jogging. It inclines 1 to 10%.
- 300 lbs of maximum user weight
- PerfectFLEX deck cushioning.
- Warranty: Comes with a lifetime warranty on frame and motor, 1 year on parts and labor.

Although this treadmill comes with some great features its drawback is quality but then if we take into consideration the price, you won’t even be thinking about it. These kind of entry level treadmills are simply not made for running and as I have mentioned earlier this treadmill will be great for walking and light jogging.
Conclusion: The Horizon T101 Treadmill is a great buy at its price. It provides great value for money and has some great features like silent motor, reliable and adjustable cushion system, good speakers and docking system and the folding control.

So far, so good
After researching more than I planned to and more than I would have liked to, I finally came back to where I started at with the Horizon T101. I would highly recommend this treadmill if you are looking for qualities similar to what I was looking for. A fairly basic, safe-feeling, folding treadmill with automatic incline that can easily support an average weight for walking and jogging. It has a lifetime frame and motor warranty which makes me feel like it will be durable over the long haul. Definitely GO to the stores and test them out and see what you feel comfortable on & won’t mind looking at in your home. I would also try to find out if there are people who can service a Horizon treadmill near you, if that will ease your mind as it did mine. I am happy with my purchase, which was a large purchase for me, and I will update this review should anything go wrong. Happy treading!

Great Treadmill
This treadmill is a great treadmill for the price. I highly recommend it. I was looking for a treadmill with a wide and long belt, and this one, 55 x 20, gives me a lot of space to walk and run. The treadmill has 10 buttons each for the speed and incline: 1, 2, 3…10, so you can just press the button to get to desired speed or incline, and not to have press the up or down arrow a hundred times. It also has a up and down arrow button, too, on the side so you can adjust by .1 the speed or the incline. The treadmill has a fan with 3 modes, fan 1, fan 2, and fan 3, so if you feel yourself getting hot during the walk, you can blast up the fan and it’ll cool you down. The treadmill, like others, allows you to read your heart rate. And you can check calories burnt, distance, and time, like others. After you’re done with it, you can fold it up. It’s really good. I have no complaints with it.
